Join the Valley of Cincinnati for Family Day on June 16, 2012 and bear witness to the carnage as the Florence Freedom puts the hurt on the Washington Wild Things! The game starts at 6:00 p.m.

THE PARTY PATIO
Scottish Rite Masons, their families, and invited guests will enjoy concourse-level seating near the action on the field and close to the post-game entertainment!

ALL YOU CAN CRAM INTO YOUR BELLY
The all-you-can-eat BBQ buffet starts 60 minutes before the first pitch and lasts 30 minutes into the game. It includes BBQ pulled pork, hotdogs, hamburgers, mac and cheese, potato salad, garden salad, coleslaw, green beans, dessert items, and unlimited fountain soda. Dinner starts at 5:00 p.m.

TICKETING INFORMATION
Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis. Order online or use the order form in the May 2012 edition of The Rite Recorder. Tickets are $7.50 each (plus a $1.00 handling charge per order) with a limit of four tickets per member.

No tickets will be mailed. All tickets will be distributed at a special will call table at the Florence Freedom Ball Park on the day of the game. Deadline for ticket orders is June 3, 2012.

In an effort to further contain costs, the AASR Valley of Cincinnati has installed a new phone system that went into service today. When you call in to 513-421-3579 you will be greeted by an automated attendant. Please listen to the options. You can direct yourself to the person with whom you wish to speak. Next month, there will also be available direct-dial numbers for all of the office employees so that you can by-pass the automated system altogether if you so choose. Thanks for your patience during this changeover.

Cincinnati Ballet Promotion for AASR Members

The Cincinnati Ballet invites Scottish Rite Masons from the Valley of Cincinnati, their families, and invited guests, to see Princess and the Pea and Steadfast Tin Soldier, April 27-29, 2012 at the Aronoff Center for the Arts.

Princess and the Pea combines storytelling, dance, and slapstick comedy to weave a narrative about the unassuming young woman who discovers, after a fitful night on a mountain of blankets, that she is a princess. Steadfast Tin Soldier is Hans Christian Andersen’s classic tale about a tin soldier’s long journey and unfaltering love for a paper ballerina.

The Scottish Black Watch Degree Team had a wonderful time last night at Washington Lodge No. 17 in Hamilton, OH. Tonight’s tour stop is at Oakley Lodge No. 668 for an F.C. degree. Oakley Lodge meets at 3515 Madison Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45209. Dinner starts at 6:00 p.m. Lodge opens at 7:00 p.m. Reservations are not required, but donations for dinner are requested. The stated meeting of the four coordinate bodies of the Valley of Cincinnati will also be held. Please be prepared to present a current Scottish Rite dues card for admission. Our very own Royal Highlanders will provide dinner for members at 6:00 p.m. The menu is roast pork, green beans, and mashed potatoes.

The Breakfast Lecture Series at the Cincinnati Masonic Center is open to the public, and there are no admission fees. The next lecture will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 and will feature George M. Vredeveld, Ph.D., the Alpaugh Professor of Economics at the University of Cincinnati and director of its Economics Center for Education & Research. He will discuss Cincinnati‘s economy in the decade to come.
